June 22 continued
After the tour we drive to St Anne De Beaupre passing the beautiful Montmorinay Falls. What an awesome church, the Basilica St-Anne-De- Beaupre (1923) . an ornate medieval-style basilica built in 1923 is the 5th to be built on the site where the sailors first touched ground. Inside the entrance stand two columns of crutches, testimony to the faith of generations of Roman Catholics, The interior is illuminated by 240 superb Neo-Roman stained glass windows. The interior has 22 chapels and 18 alters. Rows of thick columns divide the interior into five naves, and the dome-vaulted ceiling is decorated with mosaics portraying the life of Saint Anne. St Anne was the patron saint of shipwrecked sailors. This is a must see. We return to our Rv with thing for our memory bank thank goodness for cameras.
REMEMBER- Worrying is a waste of time, hoping is not.
