June 25, 26 , 27 Friday , Saturday, Sunday 2010 Pender Harbour.

No new boats arrive from BYC. We do one more shopping before the kids arrive. They arrive earlier than we planed- great. The large deck was great for them to run around in. Sherri brought 2 play pens for the kids to sleep in so one didn't have to worry about them escaping during the night. Sherri and Gerry drove to Egmont and hiked to the Skookumchuck to see the rapids at the change of tides. We baby sat of coarse. David Thompson and Neil Anderson left at 5am Saturday leaving only 2 boats at the dock.

REMEMBER-mistakes are just something you make on the way to success.

Yet another beautiful day. After checking emails and lunch we decide to hike up the grueling hill to the Artisan gift shops. Much to our disappointment most shop are only opened Thursday to Sunday and not until 12pm. The deli cafe is opened so we have a delicious muffin and coffee. We return to the boat and enjoy a wine on the command bridge before dinner also held on the bridge. A wonderful evening.

June 13 Sunday 2010 Snug Cove
We finally get to leave after I do a quick fresh veg. shopping. We are away just after 12 in beautiful sunny weather. Just after we go under the Lions Gate bridge it get unconfortable . Big swells as it is a tide change. This goes on until we get to Point Atkinson. We got lacks and didn't tie things down or put things away properly. Chairs moved and a bucket of pop slid off the command bridge . Once we got around Point Atkinson everything calmed down. We decide to check out Snug Cove. ( Bowen Island)Yes it is free of BYC boats. We tie up and restore stuff and our mind. We didn't even have our life jacket on top. We will be more prepared next time. A beautiful evening as we walked to the store to get a Saturday paper.
REMEMBER-Life is a rollercoaster, and you never know when it's going to take a turn.

June12 Saturday BYC 2010

Sorry I haven't posted in a long time but the weather is very depressing. We did make it out in the boat Monday to Tuesday ( which was beautiful). I have been mostly baby sitting as we will soon be leaving on the boat North. BYC had an interesting meeting regarding their breakwater. We need to improve our breakwater. A long discussion on which way to go followed. It was voted to look into it more. Hudson and Dina and us went out for dinner before the meeting at the pub in the Que. We did take a 2 day trip to Clemintine ( a BYC outstation), Tuesday was beautiful and sunny but Wednesdays forecast rain and they were not wrong. BYC has a antique boat and car show this weekend. After babysitting Sherri ,Gerry and twins returned me to the club. We hope to leave the club Sunday and head for Center Bay on Gamier Island. No Power so no WIFI
