 Happy Halloween

7:30 am 50' a much better room and better breakfast. Biscuits and gravy,sausage pattie, yogurt and fresh fruit as well as the usual juice cereal toast and bagels. We are welcomed with fresh snow on the mountains. But temp sits at 50'. We go through Salt Lake city at rush hour but got into the ATV lane. A beautiful drive with the red hillsides. We arrive in Flagstaff Arizona at 5 and get a room in a Travelodge.

Idaho & Utah

Pendleton had an underground city like Seattle and Regina but we didn't have time so save it for next time. 8:30am and 48' traveling East on hwy84. We drive through a time change 1hr ahead. Fog and rain followed us most of the way to Utah but the temp is up to 72'. We stop at a Sleep Inn in Ogden Utah. again including a hot breakfast this time with hard boiled eggs and yogurt.

 we left under a beautiful pink sky at 10 to 8 am. We stopped at the duty free store at the border and got our scotch. border waved us through. We got gas and were on our way by 8:30 It starts to rain. We take exit 2 East for Wenatchee then hwy 203 for Monroe. hwy 97 through Yakama. Even in the rain mountains were beautiful We check into Roadway Inn in Pendleton East of Portland.  .We went to Denny's for dinner. Rain had stopped by noon.  Bill made me a waffle for  

breakfast included in price ($49)  of room there was toast ,bagels cereal . We leave by 8am towards  Salt Lake City.
