May 29 Saturday 2010 BYC
poured rain all night and all day. I decide to use CCleaner and defrag my computer. It took a little over an hour. I hadn't done it since Palm Springs. Today was just a computer day way too wet and cold to go outside.
May 28 Friday 2010 BYC
Sky overcast but no rain. I decide to take a 3 hour walk on Marine Drive West. Many new stores since I walked there last time. I stop in an art store where a man is painting. He said he gives lessons - $15 an hour. I did like his painting. He teaches like I do you bring a picture you want to paint in the medium you want and he helps you. There was also a new baby store with wonderful expensive stuff. I stopped and had lunch at McDonalds. Bill took the truck in to get an oil change, break check, new batteries and any other thing needed to get the truck all ready for the trip South in the fall. It is ready in time to drive to Horseshoe Bay and stop and have fish and chips at Trolls. We included Manhattan clam chowder and a beer. Too much food.
REMEMBER- Friends have a way of speaking without words.

Madison wakes up at 1:30 am throwing up. Change sheets, change diapers and pajamas. Give a cuddle and back down. She settles down and sleeps until 10:30. Bill and Sherri go to Costco .Carter and I have breakfast and read our new books and play ball. After lunch we walk to the shopping center. We leave before rush hour. Rain holds out until late evening.
REMEMBER- A friend is someone who reaches for your hand but touches your heart
May 26 Wednesday 2010 BYC
Today starts with a doctors appointment to see if any thing can be done for an annoying cough which we have had since December. We both have it so it can't be blamed on a high blood pressure pill as I do not take them. The doctor sends us for a chest e-x ray. We stop at the place we store our 5th wheel to get a few thing we forgot. Then we go and sign off on our storage unit as we now store stuff at Sherri's. Off to Sherri's to stay the night.
REMEMBER-If you race through life too fast you miss it.
May 25 Tuesday 2010 BYC
It is sure nice to know my computer is working. I still have to go to the crows nest to get WIFI. James our club manager said they are planning on putting a transponder on the breakwater behind our boat. Who knows how soon. Today is really a nothing day. An up date on Shannon and Ethan they are in Flores Indonesia.

May 23 Sunday 2010 Ekins
The club puts on a pancake and sausage breakfast. It rains most of the day but clears up around 4pm. More prawns for happy hour and more snack food. We pass on the pot luck dinner.
May 24 Monday 2010 Ekins
We wake to overcast skies but no rain. We are ready to leave by 10:30. We arrive at the club at 1:30 water only choppy because of the many boats heading back to the club. I take my computer up to London drugs and they found that it went into hibernation on me. They just took out the battery and rebooted it. Walla I have my computer back. Thank goodness that is all it was.

Then it is time to go to Ken and Linda's for dinner. I use their computer to do the last of checking until we return to BYC on Monday or Tuesday. We are heading up to Ekins on top of \Gamier Island. It is the family weekend they are expecting 45 boats.
May 18 Tuesday 2010 Gibsons
We wake up to pouring rain.Ken arrives with our wine and we unload 10 kits of wine to make more. I get dropped of at London Drugs to have someone look at my computer but they are backloged for 2 weeks so I will wait until we get back to the club Tuesday. Ken gives his truck to use and we pick up Clark and Shelia and drive to Pender Harbour to see our new outstation. It has a huge house with many bedrooms, lounges, kitchen and a huge deck with a hottub plus a dockto tie up boats. We have a 20 year lease on Indian land. It once belonged to Al Davidson who ran charters hence the many bedrooms.
REMEMBER- We cannot direct the wind but we can set the sails.
May 17 Monday 2010 sunny Gibsons
I go to the new building in the marina and have a long shower.$1 for 10 min. they even have a hairdryer. After I play on their computer and check e-mail etc. Bill wants to leave for Gibsons around 10am. Not to be. We try to start the noter , nothing . He phones around and gets someone with meters to find out it is our battery. Our charger was disconected so we reconnected it and waited for the charge. By 3:30 it was charged and we left. Gibsons had one boat in the BYC spot. Clark is there to grab our line and take us for dinner at their place. After a delicious meal we chatter ( I must get the recipie for the chicken casserole Yum Yum )
REMEMBER-Life should be a pattern of experiences to savour ,not to endure.

They also have a lounge with books to trade. All very impressive. I check my e-mails. After lunch I go to the library and return some CD'd and DVds. I type my blog and check e-mails. I email Shelia in Gibsons to see if they know of someone who could look at my computer.
May 15 Saturday Bowen Island 2010
We leave at 10:30. The water couldn't have been flatter. Nobody at Snug Cove (Bowen Island) when we arrive. Another BYC boat arrives latter. We do not know them. I spend my day in the libruary as they have WIFI. Just before 3 pm my computer goes black , nothing works just a black screen. Oh Joy. I go back to the boat and enjoy the view and watch the ferry come and go. After supper we go for a walk. What a perfect evening. Except for the computer.

Up date on Shannon and Ethan
They have left Cairns Australia and are heading for Darwin for fuel then off to Bali Indonesia. Here they get their life raft inspected. They will be there for about 10 days then onto Labuanbajo on Flores Island. Here is the Komodo island and the Komodo dragons(very large lizards). Here they will explore the area in preparation for the boss to arrive June first. Yes they get paid to do this what a prime job. The diving here is some of the best.
