might be coming home early

December 29 Sunday 2013
Having a bad day. First I though I was going for a radiation treatment only to find it was only a consultation. This doctor wants 3 treatment done by the beginning of March so it means we come back early. We go down and have our shots for visiting Guadamala and El Salvador and Belize. Thankfully that is still a go. Saturday ended great as we went for a wonderful lamb dinner at Bob and Rose's Monday we go to our family doctor.

December 26 Thursday 2013
We babysit Monday as it took 3  hours for Sherri and Gerry to put Madison's house together. A first sleep over at our house. Christmas eve we all go out for pizza and we stay the night so we can watch the kids come down the stairs. They do not get up until 9. Sherri and Gerry get dinner ready they have everything under control and do not need my help so I play with the kids. The in-laws come too plus 2 male friends . I bought a new camera as I closed the door on the old one. It didn't come with a memory card so we were able to use Sherri's as I left the old camera at home.

Carrizo Canyon

December 21 Saturday 2013
Before we head back to Vancouver Sunday we have 10 people over for happy hour ( most from Ontario) Thursday. Our power is of for half a day. No problem. Friday was crafty ladies and we had Lynne and Larry for HH (from Powel River). Saturday Pat and I go to Carrizo Canyon hiking with a group. This time we do see 8 Mt sheep but too far away for pictures. The waterfall at the end does have a trickle of water.

December 16 Monday 2013 Yuma
An uneventful ride to Yuma ( 2.5 ) miles. We got our room at the Howard Johnsons for the same price as last year- $35 . Still includes breakfast but with a new owner they stopped the free booze. A first for Bill he made his own breakfast-he cooked himself waffels, got his own cereal, eggs(boiled),and yogurt. Our dentist appointment was at 10am. We each got a cleaning and a check up. Bill had 3 cavities and I had to have a cap made. $520 .After making an imprint we walked around town . I had my cheviche for lunch .We went back to the motel and booked 2 more nights as my cap will be ready Wednesday. We sit by the pool and read before dinner. We go to Coco's as they have prime rib 2 for $20 including soup or salad each and 1 slice of pie of your choise. It was large enough to share. Gas is a lot cheaper ($3.15)

Dead Indian Canyon

December 14 Saturday 2013
today another first for me. The naturalist at Santa Rosa (George) takes us to Dead Indian Canyon. He is very informative. This trail is only opened from Oct-Dec. As sheep are giving birth and raising young. We see a roadrunner and a desert ground squirrel but no Mt. Sheep. Many flowers are blooming way ahead of time.
