Saturday-June 3 We leave for across Canada- 56 and sunny
We were so excited we woke up, had breakfast and were in the truck by 6:30 .We went #7 Amasses to Hope. The last time we were on this road was on our Alaska caravan in 2000. Lots of pull through for lunch or over night stays also lots of RV parks. 10:30 and 66 degrees at Cashe Creek we stop for lunch at a Husky gas station. At Kamloops we take Hwy 5 and we stop for the night at 3:45 at another Husky station. We get a spot where we can put out our slides. We can stay for free if we have dinner. Not a problem.
Sunday-June 4-06 54 and sunny at 8:30AM, not so anxious t0day. We have breakfast at the Husky and are on our way to Jasper. This was a very quite park compared to the ones in USA. Half way to Jasper we blow a tire. Am I ever proud of Bill, we had all the right stuff and he knew how to use it. Only two people stopped both tourist 1 a young girl from Austria, next a German fellow but Bill was all finished by then. Off coarse we were out of cell range so what good was Good Sam? 10:30 we are on our way again temp. Now 61(16) got some good mountain Pictures. We buy a year’s pass for Canada’s National Parks 117.00. We stay at Whistlers camp ground only 10 min. from Jasper. 56.00 For 2 nights including electric. We are having a great time watching the elk. They are calving. I got a great shot of a baby nursing.
