Today is bird walk day at the Coachella Valley wild bird sanctuary at 8am. A nice cool bright day. There were about 30 birders with 5 scopes. We saw about 30 different birds. A scarlet tanenger was my favourite. Killdeers,cooper hawks and many different ducks including pintails, widgens,cinnamon teals,greenwinged teals to name a few. We stopped about 10:30 for fresh cinnamon buns Linda baked. Tonight was to be a star party at Santa Rosa preserve but the weather didn't cooperate so we went home. The astonomical society was bringing telescopes and giant binoculars for us. Hopefully they do this next month too
