May 27 2011
After painting Bill picks me up and I stay at sherri's until Saturday. I have fun with the twins as the weather was still the craps (rain Rain rain) We painted with grandma 's paint. We also got vehicle puzzles and 2 new books. Auntie Shannon bought the twins new sandals. They said it made them run faster. Great fun . Grandpa arrived Friday night with 10 fresh crabs Yum . He decided to stay until Saturday and if the weather cooperates we plan on going to the zoo.

May 23 Monday 2011
We leave Ekins at 8:30 am in perfectly smooth waters. It stays that way all the way back to the club. The family long weekend was a success even with some nagging rain Saturday. I hardly cooked all weekend as the club supplied breakfast Saturday and Sunday. Bill said he would make the coffee on Saturday so he was up at 5;30am as he had 2 huge pots to perk. Lunch Saturday was pulled pork and beans and salad then a big happy hour where we all brought something. Chicken breast for dinner. Lots of games were played both for adults and kids. (horseshoes and volleyball) Some of the boats had large screen TV's and people watched the Cannucks hockey team in the play offs. They won . I missed the trip to McNab creek tour across the way. Dam . free beer and Jack Daniels were also served. I played a game of triominos (like dominoes) with Judy and we tied . Didn't have time for the play off.

May 18 Wednesday 2011 Gibsons
Yesterday I am vacuuming and it dies on me . Oh well I tried. A beautiful sunny day but still quite cool. I walk to the library and return some books and get a couple new ones as we will be at Ekins (top end of Gamier Is), no shore power or WIFI. It is BYC family weekend. Clark and Shelia invite us for dinner. We have a great visit. Wednesday I go walking with Shelia's group then to Tim Hortons for coffee and Mikes to use their free WIFI. Tonight we are going to Ken and Linda's for dinner. Boy 2 days without cooking. Again sunny but a cool breeze. But I am not complaining after all the rain we had. I will not be posting for a few days until we get back to Vancouver Monday or Tuesday. Have a good weekend everybody

May 15 Sunday 2011 Bowen Island
It pours rain all day. Bill Kitchen comes down to look at our holding tank as it doesn't seem to be emptying properly. Thank goodness we have a forward head. Bill changes his mind and we will go to Gibsons Monday .

May 14 Saturday 2011 Bowen Island
We wake up to sunshine and decide to leave for Bowen Island . We get under the bridge and it is too bumpy to continue and it is starting to rain so we head back By 3pm weather improves so we try again and make it. We will spend 3 nights here then off to Gibsons . They have WIFI here so will be able to post. Bill gets the satalite dish working, It is raining too hard to post tonight as we left our umbrellas in the truck.
REMEMBER-The only thing better than right now is right now will someday be the memories.

I baby sit again Wednesday after painting . Betty from painting class drives me to Sherri's as she lives near her. Bill drove me over the bridge for painting. Bill picks me up Thursday night. I have Nick and Marlene Voscamp for dinner on Friday. Weather is turning bad for the next week when we hoped to go to Bowen Island and Gibsons then to Ekins for family weekend. We will not leave if it is pouring as it is no fun driving in the rain

I try to work on the computer without success and am about to take it to London drugs for help when I check with James first a good thing as James checks and sure enough someone knocked the WIFI signal system out . Tonight Sherri invites us to go to Stanley park aquarium for a members pajama party. What fun we get to touch sea creatures.

Byc's 79 annual sailpast was wet . Rain just belted down even hail at times. We didn't take the boat out. Bill got his 30 year pin. Carter and Madison get to meet the band. Carter and Madison are the only ones enjoying the rain. They got so wet, boots filled with water.They had raincoats on so the top didn't get wet. Oh to be young again

April 3 Tuesday 2011 Happy anniversary Sherry and Gerry
I am in big dodo as I didn't phone Sherri on their anniversary. I am in bigger dodo as I forgot 10 DVD's are 2 days overdue at $1 each per day???????and I was at the library today without realizing my error ( I went for some computer help.) From now on I will mark my calender .Guess where I am going first thing in the morning. I had already renewed them on line and you can only do that once. Live and learn

We wake up to sunshine. Today we remove the tarp from the back of the boat and try to put more stuff away in their proper place. I go to chapters and order Galapagoes Island of fire. The Nemo book I wanted is out of print. It is good to be able to walk again with no rain.
REMEMBER -we should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time we see them.
