March 29 Monday 2010Burnaby
I go to our boat with Bill. I drive to the new library to find out about computer classes- they have none. I check out some books and discover I have no wallet so no money or drivers license. I drive to check out the new Price Saver grocery store very near the boat. It is really nice. I am looking forward to shopping there when I have some money.
March 30 Tuesday 2010 Burnaby
Today is doctor's check up day and blood test, so no coffee until after 10am. We have brunch then go to the locker to take more stuff to Sherri's. I trip going down the stairs carrying 2 frames. Thank goodness I didn't break anything. (just one of the frames) and a bruised finger and a a small cut on my right leg . We baby sat for a couple of hours while Sherri finished painting her bedroom. Is she ever getting domesticated. The bedroom looks great. After dinner we walked the path along the Burnett river near the RV park . It was getting cold but it was sunny( Bill still has his shorts on)

I go and get my ultra sound and a mamagram. then go for lunch and do some grocery shopping.
March 27Saturday 2010 Burnaby
Today we go to our locker and start moving stuff to Sherri's basement. How did I collect so much stuff????I was going to cook a turkey at the RV but Sherri phones, she had a hard night with the twins so I take the turkey to her place and cook it there. Bill goes and buys wood to make some shelves. Gerry and I take Carter and Madison to the local park.
March 28 Sunday 2010 Burnaby
Bill goes to the boat and I get ready to fix dinner for George and Betty tonight. Boy did it rain last night and off and on during the day very heavy at times. Luckily it stopped when They arrived and left.
REMEMBER-determination will take you so much further than self-doubt.

March 23 Tuesday 2010 Burnaby
Today Bill goes to the boat, Sherri ,Carter and Madison come to visit and we play in the playground before we go back to Sherri's so I can babysit while Sherri goes to the bank to help Gerry do some filing. Sherri drives me back by 10:30.
REMEMBER- A grandma is a baby sitter that watches the kids instead of the TV.

March 22 Monday 2010 Burnaby
We go shopping at Costco. It is only 3 blocks away. Next we go to our local Mall. shopping over I come home and make a large pot of chilli
Gerry and the twins come over around 3:30 pm . We go and play in the playground at the park then go for a swim in the large indoor pool. They stay for supper and leave about 8pm. A great time was had by all.
REMEMBER-Grandmas are just antique little girls.

March 21 Sunday 2010
We go to the RV show in Chilliwack. A waste of $7.50 ea. (as far as I was concerned.) As it is a Spring show a lot of smaller Rv's mostly for families. We did pick up new pamphlets on the different 5th wheels. We go to a White spot for lunch. We get our White Spot hamburger fix . The heck with calories. It was delicious. We get back to he RV and Bill sets up the satalite dish with ease.

March 20 Saturday out at Sherri's
Sherri and Bill go to BYC and Gerry goes to work. I get the kids all to myself. We have great fun. I cook a corn beef dinner while the twins are napping. Sherri and Gerry go to a hockey game tonight. Bill and I baby sit. Tomorrow we will be going to the RV show in Chilliwack not far from the kids.
REMEMBER-One doesn't have to change friends if we remember that friends change.
March 19 Friday 2010 on way home
Freezing cold outside frost on everything. We leave the casino and drive to Bellingham for breakfast . At the border they ask if we have apples or potatoes if so throw them out. Next they ask about booze. We got the big bottles of scotch and 3 bottles of 2 buck chuck . Over our limit. So we pay $ 45 duty and GST etc. everything else OK They could have charged us GST and Pst on our expensive art work we bought but they didn't. We did declare it. Boy is Bill not used to heavy traffic . We get to the Cariboo RV park by 11am and get set up everything but the satalite dish, then we head to Sherri's to baby sit as she wants to go to a work party at BYC early Saturday morning and Gerry has to work that day. Man have the kids changed even since January. They are really mobile. Oh joy.
REMEMBER-The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything they just make the most of everything they have.
March 18 Thursday 2010 on the way home
I luck out today as the shop where we are getting our slide fixed has WIFI in their waiting room. We leave at 1pm $638 lighter. They replaced the slide ram and pinion gear. We also had a new water filter put in. We arrive at the Tulalup casino around 4pm. Shannon phones and everything is going well. They are in Cairns Australia. We traveled 129 miles (207K) 12.1 mpg. We have our last pig out in their great buffet.
REMEMBER-one thing you can't recycle is wasted time.

March 17 Wednesday 2010 Happy St Patricks Day
We get an early start today , up by 6am and leave by 7am. Mountains and real trees are exciting as we have been gone since June 1 and the East of Canada and the USA does not have big mountains and tree like BC. Neither does the desert. A beautiful sunny day to enjoy it all. Weather held out for the hole in the slide. We park at a Wal-Mark for the night .We go for dinner at an AppleBees. Our first time in one. Very good food. We buy a new electric frying pan(I broke the lid on my old one . We also buy a new toaster at Wal-Mart. We traveled 528mi 850 k and got 11.9 mpg.

I use Mcdonalds again after having breakfast at Denny's. We are off by 7:15
finally on I-5 . We pass many fruit trees,some bare branches,some blossoms and some in full leaf. Our windows are covered with dead bees. It was a balmy 77'. We traveled 505 miles at 13.8miles per gallon. After 9 hours on the road we stopped at 4pm in Redding in a TA truck stop for the night. We go for dinner there.
REMEMBER-It is never too late to become what you might have been.

March 15 Monday 2010
Bill gets another taxi to get his truck. He gets back by 1pm $228 lighter. They also fixed the tire with a slow leak( a small nail). I am all ready to go so we leave at 1:30. We get as far as Mojave 226 miles 12.9 mpg. We park in a Denny's parking lot with permission and go for dinner. We will start with breakfast there tomorrow. Temperature got to 77 yesterday. I use McDonalds for my WIFI 2 doors down
REMEMBER-Your time and energy are too precious to spend on stress.

March 14 Sunday 2010 Vegas and trouble
At the bottom of the pass towards Vegas it happens, our exhaust pipe disconnects and is dragging . We find a spot to pull over. Thank goodness it didn't happen in the pass . Also thank goodness that Clark and Shelia are not too far away. We call them so that they can take the 5th wheel to the Koa in Vegas and Bills calls Good Sam towing to get the truck. Wouldn't you know it but the tow truck breaks down too and Bill has to wait for another truck. After a $30 taxi ride to the Koa he arrives around 4pm. They can not look at the truck until the next morning. I waited for Bill . He does not want to go to Civic Center so I go by myself. I do not get back until 8pm and am exhausted . I am in bed by 9:30. Civic Center has some great art pieces and very interesting architecture. Worth walking around.
REMEMBER- Your mind is like a parachute-it functions when opened.

We must remember to change the clocks ahead tonight.
It is very windy and cold . It even blew our satalite dish over so Bill puts it away. We go out for dinner with Clark and Shelia for a 2 for 1 dinner at the casino . I clean most of the day as we are leaving for Vegas tomorrow. I check the weather forecast and it is snowing in Wells so Bill looks at going back to I-5 and discovers it is only 30 miles further.
REMEMBER-Over prepare then go with the flow.

Madison taking Carter's raisinsMarch 11 Thursday 2010 Pahrump I skype the twins for breakfast.
Today is another computer day. I discover I bought DVD+ instead of DVD- Shelia gave me the – ones and things seem to be working now I can back up my crossing Canada trip. We go to Symphony ( the restaurant in the park with the winery) for lunch. It was very good. Shelia beats me at scrabble again. Tonight is Pokino night . We had enough for two tables. I broke even at the end.

Today we go to the Library and I return my books. The computer class is not until one and it is a beginners class so we return . After lunch we walk to the water tower. We see a big jack rabbit on our way. Another scrabble game before dinner. Shelia wins again. While cooking dinner 10 helicopters fly in to have dinner at the winery. We play again after dinner and I finally win.
REMEMBER-The best vitamin for making friends-B1

March 9 2010 Tuesday Pahrump
we wake up and it is snowing big fluffy flakes. Yes a surprise as 2 years ago we left Pahrump early as it was too hot for for Bill. Snow was gone by noon. Today is computer day at the club house . I got a lot done some downloads- Nero and Photo story 3 . We play scrabble in the afternoon and Shelia wins by a margin.
REMEMBER- The heaviest thing you can carry is a grudge.
