January 21 Thursday 2010 Salome Arizona
We wake up to rain drumming on the roof. We go to Quartzsite again to meet with Don and Jeanine friends we have known since 1962. We meet at the tent again only this time the tent is soaked with puddles of water all over. We walk to Tyson Wells but it is so wet and windy that all the tents are closed unbelievable. We decide to go to a sitdown cafe for lunch and a gab session and get caught up on news. Driving back to Salome we notice the power out and sure enough it is out at the park too. High winds and heavy winds follow .Power back on in about 1 hour.
REMEMBER-People come in and out of your life only the real ones stay.

I live in Salome.
Coming home from Wickenburg tonight I counted 14 power poles down between Gladden and Wenden, many snapped in half . Later found out it was 16. This was about 5:30PM. There were already Crews out there. I felt bad for them, the rain was coming down sideways!. They will probably be at it all night.
