October 23 Sunday 2011 St George

We go to Wal-mart to top off on fresh veggies and supplies as we are moving to the North rim and the South rim of the Grand Canyon. We do laundry ,vacuum, do windows etc. Bill is looking forward to cooler temperatures as we were in the 80's again today. Bill and I go to the ice cream social with Karaoke. Was the manager Mike ever good. Nickole sings 2 songs another fellow sings too but he is not as good as the others. Bill is all hooked up ready to go just the satalite dish, power and water .

October 21 Friday 2011 St George

a nothing day today just relax and read and post the blog. Sheila cooks a roast for dinner. We go to good entertainment at the park. Nickel's Honky Tonk Merry-Go-Round. She sings music of the 50's to current hits. By donation . We really enjoyed her show.

October 19 Wednesday 2011 St George temp 50'-83

a relaxing day today,although the boys are stressed out with all phones ( Bill)and satalite dish( Clark) Shelia and I go walking out in the desert to find old abandoned Morman homes around the park .We should have hikes in the morning but chorused the heat of the day but we survived .At 3pm we go to a spinning wool demo in the park .Tomorrow we will travel to Bryce Canyon

October 17 Monday 2011St George

we are on the road by 9:30 as we had to phone our old Western Horizon park in St George Utah first ( the park doesn't open until 9am. ) Jim sold this park . We are able to stay under our AOR membership. The people at the desk were very polite and welcomed us. We got 4 days no problem. 4 days peak season$9 -4 days resort fees$3, WIFI and cable $2 a day total for 4 days $62 including tax. They put us side by side . We get set up in a good site and set up satalite dish. We drive into town and go to the super Wal-mart. We decide to stay 2 more days. We check with the office and they OK it. We traveled 205 miles on Hwy 15 We plan on going to Zion tomorrow

Oct 14 Tuesday
it went up to 73 (23) and down to 45 (7)St George Utah
Surprisingly this WH park is full we are in the overflow area for 2 nights with power no charge. Bill unhooks and I take him on a wild goose chase trying to go to the visitors center on the south side of town but its not there so we go to Wal-Mart. We phone Vegas and book a night at Circus Circus a Koa. $63 a night and if you arrive before 1pm its $10 extra. We book anyway as we haven't spent any money on rv parks yet. We hope to stay in our WH park in Camp Verde for 3 nights and visit Sedona. We phoned and booked our WH park in Casa Grande for 2 weeks Oct19-Oct30 (confirmed) I never fail to admire the beautiful red rock country.

Oct 13 Monday
8:30 25' (-4) we have breakfast after scrapping off frost . We take hwy 84 to hwy 15 and Salt Lake City. Temp drops to 14 (-8) snow on land but not on road. Apparently this road was closed for awhile Saturday . The weather warms considerably during the day no wonder Brigham Young choose St George for his winter home instead of Salt Lake City a good 20 degrees warmer. We phone our park near St George to tell them we will be in after 6pm the temp, here is 59. Now that is better!! We have power and heat to night

March 17.

We are still in St George getting to head up to Jack Pot (Nevada) then Yakima Washington for a couple of days. I will be out of WIFI range for a couple of days. We should have it in Yakima. And definitely in Burnaby

March 12 Wednesday-58'
We leaver at 8am for the 3.5 hr drive to St George Utah. A beautiful drive with the Joshua trees starting to bloom. The temperature is just perfect in the low 70's. Utah is one hour ahead.
