Left Cornering 7am and went towards LA vie the Grape vine. Good trip and we made good time as we arrived at Ken and Linda's by 5. We will be staying 2 nights as we can not get into our place until noon Sunday. We will be in for a shock as the temperature is going to drop today was 72 but should go down to 43 by Thursday. Checked out the visitors center and Santa Rosa for hikes and Art walks. Some changes as El Paseo is on Friday not Thursday . The classic car cruise night is Friday also on El Paseo should be a fun night.

November 27 Wednesday 2013

The Nexus pass interview was easy we get a very friendly fellow and are finished by 11:30. traffic a little heaver then we expected. Now I know why we usually leave on a Sunday. A beautiful and sunny although cold, Mt. Baker was very clear. We were the other side of Seattle (Sea-tac)by 1:45. Kelso by 5pm. Stayed at an EconoLodge for $44 including a continental breakfast. We could have had waffles if we wanted but only had English muffins orange juice and coffee as we had a big dinner. Up and running by 7am 32degrees freezing out time to move South. Thank goodness for the seat warmers in the car. Once we got to California the temp. Went up to 75. We are in Cornering Cal. I was hoping to stop at the olive garden but they were closed. Oh well on the way home.

November 20 Wednesday 2013

We get the green go ahead. Looks like Wednesday Nov .27will be our departure date with a stop at Blaine for our nexus pass interview. The doctors are pleased with the laparoscopic hysterectomy operation and our travel health insurance is A ok. We got our flue shots so ready to go. We will fly home for Christmas December 22 for 10 days returning January 1, 2014. We plan a Disney land trip January 13. Sherri ,Gerry and the twins plus Shannon plans on joining us . Should be great fun. Sherri's family will come to Palm Springs until January 22. February our trip to El Salvador for the ruins of Copan and Guadamala for the ruins of Tikal is going ahead. So We have an exciting winter ahead.

I enjoyed watching the squirrels preparing for winter just outside my window. I preserved some of the beautiful leaves with puzzel saver. Worked very well

surgery over

November 5 Tuesday 2013

The surgery was a success. Only 1 1/2 hours .4 small holes to remove the uterus vaginally. An overnight stay was all it took. I feel remarkably good and able to walk with no pain. Taking pain killer of course. It didn't sound like I would need radiation or chino. Will now for sure in about a week. Still planning on heading South ( Palm Desert )November 27 .
