Oct 18 Wednesday. We tour the Carlsbad Caverns –first we do the Kings Palace , a ranger guided tour. It was just about 2 hours . It was very good, it was 1 mile. Then we did the self guided tour of the Big Room 1.2 miles. So we got in a bit of walking. We stayed for a talk on the Bats of Carlsbad.
