April 26-29- 2011

Busy busy busy taking stuff from rv to the boat. The rainy weather isn't helping. Wednesday I take a break and go to painting class. Thursday I get my hair cut as tonight is the Center Bay annual meeting. Friday we put the 5^th wheel in storage. I do not get to see the Royal wedding until the evening as Bill didn't get the satalite dish set up until 8pm. We bought a new flat screen tv for the boat.

Update on Shannon and Ethan-They left New Zealand and are heading to Vanuata a 6 day voyage. ( west of Fiji) Their new staff member that had the accident was air jetted back to London awaiting a long recovery.

REMEMBER-we can do something in an instant that will give you a headache for life.

April 24 Sunday 2011 Easter Surrey

I cook Easter dinner. Yep turkey. Sherri and Gerry arrive home around 5pm they had no problems at the border. The kids were happy to see mom and dad.

Gerry's friend Terry came too. Sherri had a good time buying clothes for Madison and Carter. Madison had to try just about everything on.

April 25 Monday 2011 Burnaby

Today we move more stuff onto the boat. It poured rain all day.

April 23 Saturday 2011 Surrey.

Another beautiful day. We play outside as well as go to the park again. Carter is getting good at kicking a sockerball and Madison likes to look for bugs and picking flowers. Grandpa sanded the other chair for grandma to paint more fish. Time sure went fast Sherri and Gerry will be home tomorrow so this is the last sleep.

REMEMBER-We don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

April 21,22 Surrey 2011

2 beautiful days. We get to play outside and go to the park. Grandma forgets the camera both times we go to the park. Grandma finishes the table and is working on the chair when we nap and go to bed at night. Carter gets to cook bacon and eggs for lunch. Great fun and good tasting.

April 20 Wednesday 2011 surrey

Well we take over baby sitting around 9:30 am . There is nothing that warms the heart as when you go to get them from their sleep all smiles and arms outstretched. We have a great reunion. We bring our small tv with a vhs player and I play Bambi for them . I bought a dozen kids videos for the twins.

Aprip19 Tuesday 2011 We make a second visit to Don Harrison in eagle Ridge hospital . Bill went to school with him . Retirement has not been kind to him. After moving from Salt Springs to Maple Ridge he has has a heart attack , prostrate cancer,shingles, and 2-3 strokes. He looks surprisingly good. He hopes to get out in 2-3 week after they get him stabilized. He is walking with a cane. We also visited John Chambers (83). We boated together and took some trips together ( Panama). after loosing Mary he moved into an assisting living home in Maple ridge. As his son Bill didn't want him living alone. We reminded John that they traveled extensively and did thing they wanted together. It takes times like this to realize how luck we are. We have lunch today with Terry Jackson our old accountant. He is doing very well. We get our income tax return back today. A very busy couple of days. One more sleep until we look after the twins

April 12-17 Tuesday to Saturday 2011

A busy weekend as we sleep on the boat as it is safety inspection weekend All the club boats have to be inspected, zinks flairs power etc. Our boar was done Friday. That night they had BBQ hamburgers in the club house and the Canucks -Chicago hockey game on the big screen tv . Saturday they had BBQ chicken for lunch. I walked to upper Laundsdale and the library and got some stuff to take to Sherri's when we go and babysit for 5 days.

REMEMBER-When fish are in schools, they sometimes take debate.

April 11 Monday 2011 Burnaby

Bill has to go to the boat as the surveyor is coming to look at the boat for insurance. I stay in the rv and get more stuff to take to the boat. The sun comes out around noon.

REMEMBER-To write with a broken pencil is pointless.

April 10 Sunday 2011

Today I go to the boat for the first time this season. I take my computer to see if their new transponder on the dock behind us, will work. Yes I have wifi inside the boat so I do not have to go to the clubhouse. I make the bed and put away some clothes. It rains the whole day -miserable

April 8 Friday 2011 Surrey

Beautiful day today. Carter and Madison go to one of the local parks. A fun day we float sticks and seeds down a small stream and ride on the swings and go down slides.

April 9 Saturday 2011

Sherri and Gerry go to the yatch club for Spring clean up. Carter and Madison spend day with grandma baking cookies and drawing. I work more on the table onto the sides now.

REMEMBER-Families are like fudge... mostly sweet with a few nuts.

April 7 Thursday 2011 Surrey

Forgot to say I left Staples $100 less for the computer . My hotmail works on MSN but not in Google Chrome. Sherri takes the kids for a dental appointment. They come out with flying colours. Sherri doesn't allow any fruit drinks or pop. Sherri goes to help Gerry in the bank in the evening again

April 6 Wednesday 2011 Surrey

I was only without my computer for 2 days. I took it in to get the DVD and CD drive working as it wouldn't play any disc. Now I find that my hotmail will not open, but that has nothing with the computer just hotmail I think. Time will tell. Today I get together with 9 of my painters. At Olga's. Everyone works on their own project. Al comes too but he does not paint. Sharon drives me to Sherri's as she is going to the twin group meeting and Gerry went downtown for the soccer game. I have fun giving Carter and Madison a bath.

REMEMBER-Do not recent growing old, many are denied the privilege.

April 4 Monday 2011 Burnaby

My computer is getting repaired as my DVD and CD players do not work. so we will take it in today .so no posting until I go to Sherri's Wednesday to Saturday. I will not be able to post pictures as the pictures are on my computer. We had a good weekend. Sunday we went for prime rib at Bob and Rose's delicious

April 1 Friday 2011 April fools day

Today we go out and get our vehicles insured for the year and check out yearly health insurance both through AAA. After lunch we head to Sherri's as they are going to the wine festival downtown Vancouver and will be staying overnight in town.
