May29 Tuesday Well we got our airline tickets for LA and back for our Australia, New Zealand trip . We will stay an extra day at both ends. Shannon phoned to say they hope to be in Victoria Monday to Friday on their way to Alaska. We are going to try to meet them Wednesday and go to the Titanic show at the museum at the same time. We will go by car. I hope all goes well.
May 28-Monday we had a great 5 day out on the boat. We left right after painting lessons Wednesday for Indian Arm ( no internet access ). There was 1 sailboat there when we arrived. By Saturday there were 37 boats with guests, as it was BYC’s family weekend. A great happy hour Friday and Saturday they fed us all day. Bill was up early 5:30am Sat and Sun as he made the large pots of coffee. European sausages for lunch and tenderloin wrapped in bacon with salad and baked potatoes for dinner. They tried something new this year and had a boat building contest. There were 5 teams and they had 6 hours to finish. Surprisingly enough all 6 boats floated and were all of a different design. A great time was had by all.

May 22
We haven’t fallen from the face of the earth it is just that my computer was acting up. It keep turning itself off for no apparent reason. I had it out being checked and just got it back. I have been using the library for my e-mails. Mike reloaded windows for me and it seems to be working . He found no viruses or the likes. It seems to be working.
Sailpass has come and gone. We took out 4 guest and had lunch for 8 latter. BYC had a special dinner including entertainment as it was our clubs 75th anniversary. A good time was had by all. The weather held out too. The next weekend we took our Sherri and Gerry to Indian Arm . It was Gerry’s introduction to our boating life.
I have been enjoying some good walks from the club. I came across some beautiful pink dogwoods and some white ones. I guess all that rain was good for something. We get a great view of our Lions (mountain) from the club and the convention center where the cruise ships tie up just across the harbour. We are having some boat problems. Our alternator seems to have packed up but I quess after 20 years that is not too bad. The weather forecast for the long weekend wasn’t good any way. The Alternater will be installed Tuesday
