October 3 Saturday 2009 Virginia
After a free pancake breakfast we head out to Jamestown, a living history museum of 17th century Virginia. The place was huge. $25 for the 2 of us. After touring the upper floor on Bermuda and Jamestown we watch a 20 min. show then catch the 90 min. tour of the grounds. Recreated James fort, Powhatan Indian village,1780 farm, and continental army encampment. We see the replica of the Susan Constant, Godspeed and Discovery, ships from England bringing new settlers. We stop for lunch on site then continue on to view the many galleries depicting the birth of a nation. We are exhausted by 2pm yes only 2 we put it down to the high humidity. We return to the RV ,have a nap and after dinner we go to Wal-mart.
