October 14 Wednesday 2009 Dallas to San Antonio
8am 72'(22) After breakfast at the Cookery we head for San Antonio in heavy fog. It is so foggy we have to put the windshield wipers on to get the moisture of the windows. We drive like this for 2 hours then it lightens up and the sun comes out. We drive right through Austin Texas, the capital. By 1pm it is 88(31) and we are in San Antonio in the KOA rv park. Things go downhill from here fast. First my WIFI doesn't work in the rig but it works outside on the picnic table. Too dam hot outside so I try dangling my enhancer out the window. Bingo. Our bedroom slide will not go out. Bill can not get the satalite dish to work no matter how hard he tries. Then I drop the coffee pot it shatters into many pieces, so of to Wal-Mart after supper. It is still 88'(31) at 8pm and very humid. We booked a tour for tomorrow. We get picked up 20 after 8. We go to the River walk The Alamo and more. We drove 278mi(447km) we got 13 miles per gallon.
