October 23 Friday 2009 Silver City New Mexico
An exciting day today as we go to a wolf sanctuary. DeDe the owner was full of information. She had 36 wolf hybrids. 9 of these are “near-wolves” (94%-98% wolf and first generation cross. We get to feed some of them. Awesome. She keeps them in huge family pens. She also has 17 dogs that were abandoned. She rescues and rehabilitates and studies wolves and wolfdogs. We had to drive 10 mi down a dirt road . DeDE met us at a gate and she drove the rest of the way to her place .we drove through a creek. Anther couple from the Park joined us.
