Our first stop is Sparwood famous for it's soft coal. We stop to take pictures of the largest truck in the world. We are traveling on the windy Crow's nest pass, so windy we see wind mills like in Palm Springs. Beautiful snowcapped mountains everywhere. The Americans will laugh at our puny rest stops. We stop at Frank where in 1903 huge masses of rock came tumbling down covering half the town and about 70 people. We go into the museum ($4 each with our discounts.) Very good displays and movies. We decide to stay at Fort MacLeod Alberta, the oldest settlement(1874) and the first Northwest Mounted Police outpost in the West. We book into Daisy May, $66 for 2 nights includes free WIFI) We arrive about 3pm 75'(24). We get all hooked up and unhook the truck to go to the Fort, an replica of the original. $6 each with all our discounts. We return to the RV park and set up the satalite dish and watch Vancouver news.
Mileage today 161 miles
