February 15 Tuesday 2011 Machu Picchu Day 7

We wake up to sunshine in Aqua Caliente. Some of our group left at 7:30 to go back up tp Machu Picchu . I decidr to stay behind and go bird watching as Maricela told us a bird watching hotel (Pueblo). Ralph goes with me. We do not see too many birds but do sree the large hummingbirds. We get to see a aqueto- a tailless rat that is a vegetarian . It is about the size of a lg Marmot. Bill goes to the colorful market in town. Lunch is in the hotel then catch the train around 2pm. It is starting to rain. A bus is waiting to take us to Cusco. after a short ride on those Taxi tricycles. Our bus heats up just before the summit so we wait while it cools the proceed to our hotel Jose Antonio with free WIFI. We are able to take laundry to get done by tomorrow.

REMEMBER-A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.
