February 11 Friday 2011 Lima
today is my day as we take a optional tour ($45 ea) to a ruin Pachacamc a pre-Inca archaeological site. . Here are more than 20 pyramids and about 15 temples. A lot still unescavated. After the ruins we go to Villa El Salvador. This inspiring community grew from a desert shantytown for refugees from an earthquake in the Peruvian Andes in 1971 into a fully functional society that became an official district in Lima in1983. It is complete with schools, clinics and electricity, parks, paved roads and more. The bus drops us off at Alfredo's famous for its cerviche. We walk the few blocks to our hotel. At 8pm we gather to walk to a dinner and show resturant. (La Dama Juana) We walk back and are home by 10:30. Another wonderful full day
