July 24 Friday 2009 Gros Morne to Grand falls Windsor. Blue skies
We turn Inland crossing into the North central portion of Newfoundland, a land of glacial-formed moraines, forested in tall Quaking Aspen, White and Yellow Birch and Black Spruce and punctuated by frequent lakes and bays. We are back on hwy 1. Without exaggeration, millions of Ox-eyed Daisies- white with yellow centers- cover both sides of the roadway for a hundred miles. I just love all the wild flowers of Newfoundland. The magenta fireweed are getting to bloom too. We arrive at 12 to a warm 70'(21). We are staying at Sanger RV park, $56 for 2 nights. We unhook and get the satalite dish working then drive into town and do some grocery shopping. They have a Wal-mart here. We drove 181mi(293k)
