July 30 Thursday 2009 Gander We wake up to sunshine. After an early lunch Bill drives me to the Thomas Howe Demonstration Forest for a 2k guided hike . Bill goes to the North Atlantic Aviation museum. He goes into DC3 Cockpit and is surprised as to how small the area was. We finish at the same time and he picks me up and we continue on to the the Peace keepers park and the Silent Witness Memorial, a tribute to the 259 people killed when their plane crashed after refueling in Gander.
