January 1 Saturday 2011 Indio
The first day of the New Year starts out sunny but cold. I lead a tag-a long to the wild bird sanctuary as the birders are meeting to count bird sightings. I have 12 people. We get a big surprise to see the waste water treatment pond in front of the visitors center is empty of water. They are laying new pipes down. We watch some bird drama- a kristal dive bombing a redtailed hawk. After the hunt Linda has cinnamon buns and coffee ,tea or pop and we do a bird count. Return home to do some grocery shopping. We go to the Fisherman's Market for dinner. I get my fish and chip fix satisfied. Pokino at night , I am ahead of the game. Happy New Year every one.
REMEMBER-you never really lose until you quit trying.
