November 15 Wednesday 2012 Another first for us . We go to Jackalope Ranch one of the best happy hour in the valley. It's the last day for the girls from Gibson. The ranch is a finely-crafted lodge on a beautiful landscaped 6.5 acres with a montainous boulder structure with waterfalls and ponds. 2 luscious green lawns provide space for special events. This outdoor venues can hold 800 guest. Recommended if you are in town REMEMBER-dream bigger, doubt small.

November 13 Tuesday 2012 A day of rest until 2:30 when Reba and I go to the Elk hall and play Mexician train. I was the big winner came home with $3. Wednesday Clark and Shelia take me to the Whitewater preserve. A first for me. The trail that goes along a river of rushing water. This trail hooks up with the Pacific Crest trail. We hike for awhile on a reasonably flat trail but weather is hot and no breeze so we turn back and enjoy the trout ponds, some really large trout. A nice clean ranger station with a lot of information and a great picnic area. REMEMBER-past mistakes make for future successes.

hike Indian Canyon 2012

November 12 Monday 2012 We hike Indian Canyon. $7 entrance fee on Indian land, but very worth it. We do Andreas canyon first then go to the trading post and hike to the waterless waterfall. We have lunch down in the palm grove were I show them a hot spring. Dinner tonight is at the Elephant Bar where I got 2 for one coupons. REMEMBER-Positive thinking works.

November 11 Sunday 2012 Remembrance day Today we go to the collage of the desert COD with Shelia and Clark and we meet 4 other girls from Gibson. I buy some Christmas presents. A lot of new stuff to see. 300 open air merchants. For lunch we go to the Fisherman's Market. I settle on my clam and mussels- delicious. The temperatures are still good in the daytime but cooler at night. We put the fireplace on. 70-47 REMEMBER-New beginings can start anytime.

November 10 Saturday 2012 Clark,Shelia and I go hiking with the Santa Rosa leaders. We do the Cabazon trail. I learn a lot of new stuff. Most trails in the Cochella valley were laid out by the Desert Riders- people on horseback. He show us a barbeque they used after their rides. We also see an old homestead from the mining days. I get introduced to a new plant-a clammy weed. We hike in a boxed canyon to the dry waterfall. We pass people iraticating weeds. They have many black bags full. We each help by taking 1-2bags each back to the center. We go back to our place and have lunch before we go to the Art Affaire at Whitewater park. Another good day in paridise. REMEMBER-Life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful

Street fair palm springs 2012

November 10 Friday 2012 Clark and Shelia come over and we go to the Palm Springs Art Museum- www.psmuseum.org where we meet 3 more people from Gibsons. The museum has a free docent led tour. We see quirky furniture made from recycled items by the Campana brothers from Brazel. We enjoy a chair cushioned with bubble wrap ,a teddybear chair and a doll chair.The other traveling display was Navajo weavings. I was pleased to see that the old couple and the bronze driftwood horse are still there. 6Pm we walk to the street fair stopping first at Ruby's for hamburgers. This was a good time to come as closer to Xmas it is far too crowded.We get to see the large 26' tall statue of Marlyn Monoe. REMEMBER-Give your energy to your dreams not your stress

November 7 Tuesday 2012 Temperature was over 100 yesterday. We drive to Tram View RV park to thank our boating& RV friends for trying to get a place to rent and let them know we found our own place thanks to another RVer. We did some grocery shopping . We faded fast with the heat. Today I just want to stay home and read. One of my blog followers has ask me to pass on her web site for Rvers- www.boondockerswelcome.com

Bonanza. Our prayers have been answered. Linda Jackson phoned a friend we met on our first Mexico caravan 1998 ( her complex is in Palm Desert Greens like Kenny's Bill's cousin ) Her tenants are moving out December 1 and she wants us to rent her place. until the end of March so she can decide what to do with her place. We went and checked it out. It is huge, 2 bedrooms, a large living room dinning room TV room and bar plus a large patio. Grapefruit and lemon tree too .Also completely furnished with dishes and linen too . I gave the dog a bath today . The cat avoids us like the plague. We only gave her her medicine once as she runs away from us. The dog is much easier.
