what a great stay in Gibsons as I didn't have to cook one dinner. Wednesday we went out for all you could eat halibut and chips, Thursday Clark and Shelia had us for a prawn dinner and tonight the Legion has Yorkshire. pudding and roast beef .I walk into an art watercolour class next to the library given by Bev Jozwiak and wished I was able to stay for her weeks class. Tomorrow we will head for Ekins until the end of the month when we go to Center Bay for their family weekend then back to BYC to get my twin fix.

REMEMBER- to laugh as it teaches joy.

August 24 Wednesday 2011 Bowen Island

2 sailboats at Bowen but one is leaving in half an hour so we wait and pullover to the dock. Another BYC boat arrives and we let him raft. He only stays one night. It pours rain all day Sunday. We phone Clark and Shelia to tell them that Thunderbird has room for them. I invite them for dinner. We have a good visit. Tuesday We do the 2 and half hour walk around Killarney lake. A beautiful walk. We leave today to try to get into Gibsons if not then up to Ekins. .

REMEMBER-encourage independence to cultivate self-reliance.

August 21 Sunday 2011

It was sad to see Shannon and Ethan leave but hopefully they will return when the CV9 gets painted. James BYC's club manager is back from holidays and put the WIFI back in order. We watch a mother seal on the breakwater behind us feeding her baby. We head out today after lunch for Snug if it is opened or all the way to Ekins. If we get to Snug will be on line.

August 18 Thursday 2011

We have been busy with twins took them to Vancouver zoo. And we went to playland .All had a good time at Whistler. Keven joined them too. We take Shannon and Ethan up to Salmon House for dinner. Shannon and Ethan fly out Friday back to the boat. We will head out for Ekins Sunday or Monday so no internet for awhile. We will also go to Center Bay for the long weekend. Will return to BYC Tuesday or Wednesday and get ready for the family weekend at Clemmy. The following weekend is when we are celebrating Carter and Madisons birthday (3)

Bill and I take the twins to the Vancouver zoo. We arrive as they are unloading 5 buses full of kid wrong day to come but we make do .We get to watch them feed the lion and tiger up close. We also watch a bird show ( live). We take a picnic lunch with us

August 6 Saturday 2011

We have a enjoyable time up Indian Arm at Clemmy. We are only 2 boats for awhile then we are alone for 1 night before 5 more boats arrive. Bill barbeques steaks for my 72^nd birthday. Where does time go??? We watch wildlife – baby swallows are snug in their nest on the light in the gazebo. Seals are splashing all around us. Kingfishers and Canada geese make their presence, even a raccoon and an otter show their faces. Bill does some crabbing he gets 4 using chicken backs as bate. Nothing like fresh crab. Saturday we return to BYC. We watch the fireworks in the club house . Tonight was Canada night. Looking forward to seeing Shannon and Ethan Tuesday . We will baby sit Thursday Friday and Saturday while Sherri, Gerry and Shannon and Ethan go to Whistler.

REMEMBER-be not afraid to moving slowly ; be afraid of standing still.

Monday we get ready to go to Clemmy for a few days before Shannon and Ethan arrive in Vancouver for 10 days. Really looking forward to seeing them. My computer wasn't working on the boat so I was going to an internet cafe and decided to try the club house and lo and behold it worked there so posting. We phoned OATS and booked the last spot for the date we wanted Feb. 2 2012. Routa Maya going to Copan and Tikal ruins. We will fly out of LA. Weather is good for the next few days. No internet at Clemmy so will post when we get back. I get kicked off the internet before I get to post this so it will be behind

Bridle Vail Falls

July 31 Sunday 2011 wow already the end of July

Friday we take Kevin for lunch (Sherri's X) We go to the Penperton station pub. He shows off his new motorbike. I walk to Marine Drive and back to the boat. Great weather. Saturday Today we take a truck drive. We do a circle tour from Vancouver to Hope. Harrison Hot Springs is our first stop. They have a good lake walk lined with flowers. We stop and have a coffee and muffin. We continue on to Hope. Too soon for lunch so we do not stop but continue on to Briddle Vail Falls. It is only a 10 min walk to the falls. A lovely spot for a picnic. We move on to Chilliwack for lunch then to Sherri's to check if any mail .
