Tuesday I finish one of my paintings(beach scene) and put one coat of varnish on it Wednesday we go to Grandville Island for lunch and have a good time walking around. Make sure you come down early as parking is a problem. We also stopped at West Marine and bought a new cooler so Freddy can make it into a freezer in September. I am having trouble with the WIFI in the club so no posting or internet. Thursday I go to West Vancouver's library to get computer help it works great here.

today I take the seabus to Vancouver and go to Dress sew for a new zipper foe Carters sweater. I also walk around Gas town. It is cool and cloudy

July 25 Monday 2011 Clemmy and back to BYC

We had a fun weekend with sunny weather. 8 boats stayed overnight. Monday we were all alone and woke up to Canada geese squabbling on the grass. Many seals were hitting the water with their tails trying to bring the fish to the surface. They were too quick to get pictures. A seal bring his baby over to show us but I couldn't get a picture.(too fast and too far away)

July 21 Thursday Happy 69 Bill

Bill picks me up as we are going boating up Indian Arm. They promise some sunshine. They got the prop on so we will test it out. Sherri and Gerry order in Greek food for Bills birthday. Shannon phones to wish him well. Sherri makes Bill some homemade blueberry jam for diabetics. Who would have thought Sherri could make jam. It was very good. I had a great time with the twins for 6 days.

REMEMBER-To have joy one must share it.

July 18 Monday our 47 anniversary

It's not a good day for Bill. They go to change the propeller and find out that he bought the wrong one. A very expensive mistake as he special ordered it and cannot return it. The boat did get it's bottom painted and the sides waxed and zinks changed. Bill comes to Sherri's for the night to get an early start to the US Antacortes for another prop. They let him keep the boat on the grid until Friday when the tide is favorable again to return to the boathouse.

July17 Sunday 2011

We fall asleep listening to a thunder and lightening storm with masses of water teaming down ( unreal). Sunday we practice walking on our new ice skates. Today is the meeting for the twins group barbeque. Sherri and Gerry take in a movie tonight Grandma baby sits.

REMEMBER-It isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes one has to learn to forgive yourself.

July 15 Friday 2011

Shannon phones from Fort Lauderdale. She said it was very hot and humid in the high 90ies, while we are getting still more rain. Unbelievable. We go to Bob and Roses for dinner tonight. Bill takes me to Sherri's early Saturday morning as he will be taking the boat out of the water for bottom painting and change of propeller. I spent my time in the rain painting pictures of the twins,(not finished yet) Bill varnishes the window trim. just about finished for this year.

REMEMBER- sometimes when you're angry you have the right to be angry but that doesn't give you the right to be cruel

Center Bay

July 12 Tuesday 2011

Sunday we leave for Center Bay a small pod of dolphins come along side and pass our stern. They are so graceful. We arrive in Center Bay around noon, only 4 boats here. John and Midge are our guest so they tie up to us. Hudson and Dina come latter. Dina and I promise dinner for all 6 of us. A deer is grazing on shore while we have happy hour. Mergansers and Canada geese entertain us from the sea and crows and eageles from the sky.

Monday Midge invites Dina and I over for coffee and scones over reminiscing to view photos of all of us when the kids were very small. Boy does everyone ever look young. Midge cooks dinner for all today- a delicious crab casserole. Yum.

Tuesday-John and Midge leave in the morning for the Broughtons up North. Hudson and Dina wanted to stay until Friday but their generater isn't charging properly so they might have to go to Gibsons or Snug Cove. We head back to Vancouver in perfectly calm waters. Now getting into our boathouse was another story-a nightmare as unseen currents are running strong. Thank goodness our neibour was there to help guide us in after our third try.

REMEMBER-your best friend and you can do anything or nothing and have the best of time.

July 9 Saturday Gibsons

Friday we get Ken's car again and head for Pender Harbour as Hudson and Dina have'nt see BYC's outstation either, we then go to Egmont again for another very good lunch. 2 boats leave but another 2 arrive so BYC if full again. Saturday is sunny again. We are all invited for dinner at Ken and Linda's. I clean up boat and vacuum then go to library for WIFI as we leave for Center Bay tomorrow as our Americian friends will be joining us there. ( John and Midge Stapleton.) Bill has to pull the boat out of the water July16 so will be back by then. I will stay at Sherri's .

REMEMBER-All we have that can't be changed are memories.

July 7 Thursday 2011 Gibsons

We arrive at Gibsons at noon and are lucky as we get the last spot. Overcast and cloudy with rain. Sun comes our around 4pm. We have a good happy hour on our boat. Dina and I play triominoes ( like dominoes only 3 sided)in the evening. We tie so will have to play off tomorrow.

July 7 Thursday 2011 Snug Cove

Shannon phones and is excited about flying home to Fort Lauderdale while their boat is on the hard. Sherri , Carter and Madison come to Snug Cove (Bowen Island) for the day. We have a good time at the beach. Dina helps me with the twins while Sherri takes Bill and Hudson go on a car ride around the Island. OATS phones to say the dates for my 2012 Route Maya trip in February.

July 5 Tuesday 2011 Snug Cove Saturday had only 11 boats in Center Bay. We had happy hour on Bob and Roses boat. Sunday July 2 It was bright and sunny when we woke up but minutes latter it came down in torrents. It was on of those days when we changed clothes to suit the weather. Wild life spotting- a deer on shore and a mink or martin. Wasn't fast enough for [pictures. Lots of boats leave for North. 3 new boats arrive so we have 10 tonight. Monday- Hudson and Dina arrive at Snug Cove ( Bowen) yesterday and phone to say there is a spot opened if we want to join them so we leave right after morning coffee. A beautiful day we watch a doe bring here fawn down to the beach and a family of Canada geese bum breakfast. Internet here

REMEMBER-one is responsible for what we do matter how we feel.

July 1 Friday 2011 Canada day

Wednesday we take Ken's car with Bob and Rose and go to Pender Harbour to show then BYC's outstation. We continue up to Egmont for lunch at the local pub. We have to pick up an envelope for Ken at Sechelt so decide to do a bit of shopping too. We are invited to go for their place for wine. Surprising only 5 boats tied up to BYC spots starting the long weekend. Friday – Canada day It rained during the night. Bill drives me to Mike's while he returns the car to Ken's. Who drives him back to Mikes so we can check e-mail. Today we head to Center Bay for a few days ( no internet )
