October 9 Saturday 2010 Fuerte Amador Panama -day 15

We anchor at 8am and quickly take a tender to shore where we go on a Panama railway tour. We travel the isthmus through beautiful flora and past lovely Gatun lake. From the lakeside, the enormous vessels that transit the canal can be seen. We cross the continental divide from ocean to ocean in just one hour. Trip 5 and half hours $174 ea. Tenders leave the ship side every hour on the hour, and from the shore side on the half hour. Dinner dress is smart casual. No entertainment tonight. It was a good thing as we all went to bed early as we do the canal tomorrow starting at6am.Our ship leaves very early in the morning 3:30am.
