I lead another 9 people on the Henderson trail in Santa Rosa preserve. We saw some lavender bushes starting to bloom and some cactus's. , I think we will get early blooms this year after all the rain they had here.
February 4 Thursday 2010 Indio
Tonight is the Art walk. I lead 9 people down El Paseo drive. More food this time round and some wine not just cider. We meet an interesting artist who does an unique art form, he creates a pure optical crystal sculpture. Jack Storms is his name. The Coda gallery didn't disappoint us as the inlayed wood artist had numerous pieces including a typewriter, pedal bikes, and a coat and hat hanging on the wall.
February 5 Friday 2010 Indio
Today we go to the Imax theater to see Avatar. The special effects are wonderful. John Stone's science fiction was enjoyed in 3d glasses.A great visual experience for $11. Linda Bill's cousin came with us. We stop and see their new modular home they bought in the same complex they are in now. This house is much bigger and layed out better.
