February 19 Friday 2010 Desert Pools
we leave at 8am for Joshua tree National Park and do not get home until 6pm. We stop at the visitors center and do their trail . I learn more about birds as I have my birder here. We hike to the stamp mill first then the Baker dam ,then Key view where a bank of smog was drifting into the valley from LA.. We couldn't see the Salton Sea. Next we stopped and walked the cholla gardens and the ocotillos .Another great day with beautiful sights.
REMEMBER-one must wait until evening to see how great the day has been.
