We have been very busy looking at furniture. We found a lovely bedroon suite (cinnamon coloured) We bought a memory foam mattress to go with it. These are being made locally to spe. Bill set up our satalite dish with no problem just had to phone to get it reset since we haven't used it since November. The weather has been sunny sunny sunny but is to change Tuesday
REMEMBER-The best classroom in the world is at the foot of an elderly person.

March 21 Wednesday 2012
Inspection went well, only a few minor issues. We signed the papers and I guess we now own a carriage house.

March 18 Sunday 2012
today was a great welcoming back Hudson and Dina and Shelia and Clark back from their trip South. We had a good time talking about our winter. This might be the last of the dinners in this rig. We get together with the inspectors Tuesday and if all goes well we should be able to start moving April 27. Monday Bill has a doctors appointment.

March 17 Saturday 2012 Happy St Patrick’s day
Today we return to our hopefully new place to show Sherri and Gerry and the twins also to refresh our memory. We get into the visitors suite in the club house. $ 20 a day or $100 a week. What a deal. Tuesday we meet with an inspector who will check out the place. We read over past minutes and bylaws of the complex. They have $96.000 in the constituency fund. We will see what the owner wants to do with the little bit of furniture left in the complex. He tried to have a garage sale but still had stuff left. Sherri takes us to a furniture place where they build their own . One has a choice of about 10 different woods,different styles and different hardware. A bedroom suite is first .

We plan on selling the 5th wheel and truck as a unit. We will still head South for the winter only just rent. Bill would never sell the boat unless he really had to. February 26 Sunday 2012
We goes down and checks the boat. Bill walks all the way down and back. Bob Robertson is down also. Bill gets to talk to some of the members. A happy camper now that he sees his boat is ok. I baby sit Saturday Bill stay in the rv. Sunday is just a relaxing day putting stuff away.

February 23 Thursday 2012
We spend the night at Sherri's while baby sitting. We go back to the rv and Bill starts in on all the bills . We spent $ 600 at Costco yesterday and there is more to come as they were short a lot. We have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow as I ran out of my cough med. Our reg. Doc is on holidays. I'm tired of coughing the day away.

Things are coming to light. Bill is coming home Wednesday. Another amazing thing he now only injects insulin only once a day at night instead of 4 times a day.( a new insulin) Things are looking up

well it is not to be Bill has another bought of diarrhea so he isn't coming home today. I had a nice break on the USA bus shopping trip. I bought $98 at traders Joe's. When we got to the boarder we didn't even have to get off the bus they just waved us through.

February 14 Tuesday 2012 Happy Valentines day
A great day Bill passed his home visit with the therapist and will be coming home Thursday. I had a good time playing Mexician train with the Burnaby group.

finally I can post good news. Bill saw his surgeon today and she said he can put 100% weight on his foot. Tuesday a therapist is coming to the rv to see how Bill can get around. I will pick him up in the morning. Wednesday I am going shopping in the USA. a bus trip for the day. they will be going to Trader Joe's. Thursday I an bringing him home. Feb 14 will be 100 days in a hospital. far too long

Bill is alot better today, but still doesn't want visitors. He has his new date for Royal Columbian February 13. I played Mexician train with my Burnaby group. Lots of fun.

will it never end! My computer is not worth fixing. Nothing that $500 won't fix. London drugs has a $800 HP for $500. so I guess I will get that. I haven't been to see Bill for 4 days as his ward still has the Norwalk virus. I got a one day bout of it

January 22 Sunday 2012
Things are looking up now that my family is back home. Bill is in a better mood and is looking forward to his appointment with the sergen January 30. Hopefully she will say he can put more weight on his foot. We can't visit Bill right now as people on his ward have developed the Norwalk virus. Bill is clear so far. Hopefully this dosen't interfer with his visit. I should find out about my computer latter Monday. Keep your fingers crossed I don't have to buy a new one.

Things are going from bad to worst. I go to turn the water on to make coffee-dead. FROZEN Yes even though I put heat coils around the hose it froze. The guys in the park tried to help but I just have to wait until it thaws and the temperature tonight is forecast for -13. I guess I will have to get water from the park washroom or laundry room. Then Tuesday my computer refuses to open-just a black screen. I take it to London Drugs and they will look at it Friday. Then I found out the park has a computer I can use in the office . That is where I am now. I go and see Bill this morning and he is pondering how he will be able to drive a vehicle as his drop foot prevents his toes going up. He has an appointment with the doctor Mon January 30 .To add insult to injury my twins and family are in Palm Springs visiting Gerry's mom and dad. So I sit here wrapped in a blanket watching TV feeling sorry for myself.

arrgghhh-(green with envy) I suppose I should count myself lucky as we dodged the proverbial SNOW .It has been amazingly warm and snowless. Soooo today it started ICK.yes it snowed during the night. I had a little excitement around 10pm an alarm goes off. I turn the furnace off and it stops. I put on my jacket and go outside, is anyone up?? Yes just across from me a man is taking his dog out. He comes over and checks things but cannot find why the alarm went off. Hope it doesn't happen again. The snow clears by noon I go visit Bill he is in a better mood today . Today is day 69 for him in the hospital. I am having trouble opening my hot mail on my computer and discover the park has a computer in the office we can use -hooray.
REMEMBER-when in doubt just take the next small step.

January 10 Tuesday 2012 Burnaby BC
I guess it is about time I put everyone up to date. Bill has had a mishap he is the only one on his floor who contacted CDAD (a diarrhea problem). He still can only put 15% of his weight on the broken leg . Jan 16 they will try 50%. I have been busy with the twins-bowling, art classes and gymnastics. They are on the way to Palm Springs without us boo hoo. Gerry's mom has a park model in Palm Desert. They will be there for 10 days. I joined a group at the Burnaby seniors center to play Mexician train a very friendly group.
REMEMBER-Life isn't fair but it is still just the way we like it.

December 31 Saturday 2011 Burnaby
Well it is the last day of the year. Hopefully thing improve in the New Year. I went to lunch with my brother at the White Spot. We had a good visit and caught up on our family news. I bought 2 hamburgers to take up to Bill and we had supper together. STill no word when Bill can put more weight on his injured leg, still only 15%.
REMEMBER- take a deep breath it calms the mind.

December 22 Thursday 2011 Burnaby
I bring my lunch as usual Bill is still is good spirit an orthopedic comes and explains different splints for his drop foot . They will work even in his velcro runners. He practices walking with crunches. Sherri goes Friday so I get a day off while looking after the twins. I go to Sherri's for the night after visiting Bill. Really looking forward to seeing the look on the twins faces Christmas morning
REMEMBER-Sometimes it takes only a little to change a lot.
