December 13 We drive to Yuma Sunday.2 hours and 45 min. First we go to the 2 swap meets and Bill buys a tarp for the boat house. Then we look into a motel and decide to try the Howard Johnson where we stayed about 15 years ago as they had happy hour. Sure enough they still have it. They gave us a room for $37 plus tax. incredible this also included breakfast- eggs ,waffles, cereal, fruit etc. We had a dentist appointment 10am Monday. We both had our teeth cleaned and a check up $30 each. I was home free of cavities poor Bill had 3 caps plus other stuff, We are to return Wednesday so decide to stay in Yuma and not return to Palm Springs. We do lunch in Algadones delicious shrimp soup and chiveche the motel gives us the same rate. We go to their free happy hour . We are allowed 2 drinks free .We go Tuesday to visit Barb and Wolf former boating friends. They have a pad in Yuma. Next Walmart so I can buy a new ink cartridge for my printer. We go to the Red Lobster for dinner. They have a special $15 each for a 4 course meal . Too much food . Back to Howard Johnson for happy hour. I have a black Russian and a white Russian , both good. Bill is boring and has a double scotch all for free. We have an 11am appointment for Bill in Algodones for his 3 caps REMEMBER-Life isn't just valued by the money you leave, it's the memories.
