June 12 Tuesday 2012 We have a pleasent experience Tuesday, Sherri and Gerry take 8 to the Cactus Club restaurant for dinner. Gerry bid on a charity promotion from his bank and won . Here we are introduced to their varying menu . We do not get to order but are given samples of their h'orderves- thinly sliced raw beef with mixed greens and carmelled walnuts absolutely delicious didn't even tell the beef was raw. We are served both white and red wine throughout the meal . A seafood dish with prawns and scallops was also delicious. A small piece of steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus, more wine then desert a peanutbutter and chocolate square, some ice cream and an apple pastry. The chef came out with each entry and explained how it was prepared and a host came and explained the history of the Cactus Club. The whole affair took 2 hours .Thanks for an enjoyable evening REMEMBER-If you don't have a sense of humor you probably don't have any sense st all.
