50th wedding anniversery

July 20 Sunday 2014 I can't believe we just celebrated or 50^th.

Friday was my day I spent the whole day at Spa Utopia. It is walking distance from the boat. I had a manicure, and pedicure with french tips. I had my first facial and an eyebrow shaping. Felt wonderful. Saturday Sherri ,Gerry , carter and Madison decorated the BYC club house for our 50^th wedding anniversary. Lorraine and Patrick helped too I wasn't allowed to help. Shannon provided wine from her bosses vineyard .Sherri prepared most of the food including 3 different kinds of cupcakes. About 45 people came ,some from Sidney, Gibsons and Manning park.

We go to Clemmy Tuesday as company came Monday. Only 4 boats there . By Saturday we had 19. weather sunny and hot .We crossed paths with Sherri Gerry and the kids Sunday they went up we came down. Stayed overnight on the boat and went home Monday

July 5 2014 Saturday

Get home and Bill has been called for jury duty, but on closer inspection he can get out of it as he is over 65. We take Sherri and family to the White Spot for Sherri's birthday. Tuesday-We will have company Paul and Edith, Hudson and Dina both good people who helped us when Bill did his double fracture on his ankle in Mesa Arizona. Wednesday we hope to go boating up Indian Arm for a week. wifi and phone are questionable.

July 1 2014 Center bay. What a wonderful weekend. Gerry and family arrive around 8pm

water was fine even Point Atkinson was good. Saturday we explored the old white house and the cabin. Sunday we hiked to the farm. Gerry took their dingy down and their kayaks. Both new to everyone. Carter got brave and went out in the kayak on his own. Weather was perfect Monday and Tuesday. 20 boats were here. Gerry and family left after lunch Tuesday and had a good trip home with calm waters we stayed another day.

June 26 Thursday 2014

Gibsons was a good stop Super Value drove us home with our groceries to the marina. It's a good thing I don't live in Gibsons as I spent a bundle at Swish ( a womens clothing store) I got a whole outfit including shoes. A beautiful sunny day but windy . We went to Grandma's pub for dinner. Left for Center bay and arrived at noon. Sunny and hot had to put the Bimini up. 11 boats here at 5pm and I'm sure more will come. Satalite dish worked great both at Snug cove and Gibsons but we are at the end of a long dock at Center Bay and it moves around too much. Rain is forecast for tonight and tomorrow. We will see but a I saw a rainbow all around the sun and that indicates a change in the weather.Shannon should be in Naples  Italy now.

June 25 2014 Wednesday

. Yes we are finally boating. Bowen Island and Gibsons were a nice change. We took the bus to Sechelt and had a great lunch overlooking the water. Weather has been great. Last night we were up on our command bridge until the sun went down. a beautiful night. I got some library books from Bowen Island one about a dog named Marley by John Grogan I cried and laughed with this one the other was about a blind cat named Homer was entertaining-Homers Odyssey by Gwen Cooper.

we hear from Shannon as it was father's day Sunday. She said the crossing was not too bad as they had a following sea so crossed sooner. They should be in Gibraltar in 2-3 days. We stayed on the boat for the weekend and came home Monday as the weather is not cooperating. Will try again maybe Thursday. I worked on my painting today.

Shannon crosses the Atlantic

Shannon and Ethan have left on their trip on the CV9 for Gibraltar. It should take 2 weeks to cross the Atlantic. They will spend 3 days there then depart for Italy. We will be waiting to hear how they make out. I will keep you posted

classic car and boat show weekend

We stay on the boat at the club for the classic car and boat show. Bill puts the dingy down . The motor starts. He takes Carter Madison and Gerry for a ride to Mosquito Creek and he finds our Sailboat. He get to talk to the new owner. Weather good for the whole weekend.

June 3 Tuesday 2014

Another good week. Thursday was the twins no school day. Sherri picks me up and we spend a fun day at the aquarium. We come home and paint our fish we made with play dough. Friday we took the boat to Clemmy up Indian Arm. Sherri and family came up latter on Friday. Saturday was a fun day on the beach. Kids went home around 4. Weather was wonderful all week. We stayed until Tuesday so no elephant painting update. Back home now painting class tomorrow. It's Burrard's classic car and boat show so will attend that.

Just got back from a fun weekend at Clemmy. Sherri and family came Friday , sun was out. Saturday was . good too. We collected slugs, small crabs, sea worms and jellyfish . Poppa got some prawns. It rained Monday morning but stopped in time to head home.

Beautiful day today we drive to White Rock and visit Sherri at work at Clancy's We have a very good lunch. Then we go and visit George in Peace Arch hosp. Tonight is date night so I am babysitting. Tomorrow is painting at Olga's and Thursday we are going to try to go boating up Indian Arm.

our last full day of baby sitting. Sail pass was Saturday rained just about all day. Bill did not take the boat out too wet. Dinner was held on the new breakwater. Kids were good for the ceremony. Came home Sunday afternoon still poring. Hudson and Dina came for Saturdays events. I will take the kids to school Monday Annette will come about 330 so I can show her were to take the twins to Skating. I will get Bill to put the ham and scalloped potatoes in the oven for dinner. Tuesday we both have our eye appointment at 10am.

end of a stressful week

April 23 Wednesday 201

The end of a very stressful week. Thank goodness. Monday was Easter Monday I got the twins while Sherri and Bill went down to the boat. I made play dough for Carter and Madison It turned out real good. 1 Cup flour,1 cup salt, 1 tbsp glycerin,1/4 c oil and a little more then 1 cup of water.

We roll out the dough and trace fish from grandma's bathroom plus other fish . Tuesday was my cancer check up-everything A -ok Have to get checked every 3 months. Tonight is date night so I baby sit again. Bill goes to the boat for the night as he is getting the boat out of the water as after safety inspection they found that our zinc's were all eaten , how long have they been gone???and is there any damage done???I miss my painting class. Every thing turned out fine they replace the zincs and power wash the bottom. I stayed home and worked on my painting. We went to ABC restaurant for dinner. Only thing now is our physical Monday and find a date to get the rugs installed .

We have Easter at home. The twins go to Gerry's sisters as she has an Easter egg hunt. We get the family Monday. Bill is busy getting the boat ready. I am busy with my big painting for our living room 24x48. I did a 12x24 first

decided to fill our blood work so went across the street to the clinic, got our number- a long line up. We looked at our sheet and discovered we needed to fast so went back home and will go back Thursday . I worked on my large painting of the Ninstints in Haida Qwaii.

April 13 Sunday 2014

well we didn't get to eat in Deep Cove as we couldn't find a place to park. so driving back Sherri Phones and ask us to go boating with them so we went to the White Spot for lunch then went back to our boat for a nap as Carter had a hockey final party so they wouldn't be at the boat until 3. The weather and water was perfect we went under the bridge and all along shore of the expensive homes on the west shore. Gerry did quite well getting the boat in the shed.

First overnight on the boat. Safety weekend. Forgot my pj's & slippers. Thought I didn't need food as they were offering hamburgers Friday and chicken for lunch Saturday. Forgot that kids are always hungry so didn't have cheese, baloney or briskets. Oh well next time. I also forgot my computer on the boat so decided to come back Sunday. We went shopping and got more food also bought new dishes for the house. Out with those black ones I bought white this time

It's a good thing we have company now and then as our house  gets spic and span. Bill does the windows and the rugs. I dust and tidy up. We even hung more pictures in the family room.I work on the totems.weather is perfect

Nothing thing too exciting. Sherri Gerry and the twins took us out to Chilliwack  Sunday for a wonderful buffet. Gerry bid for it at work.It was at the Best Western highly recommend it  Restaurant in their garden . Monday we went to the states ( Bellingham ) Trader Joes was our destination. We got our nuts and a few other things.  Tuesday we went looking at rugs for the boat- expensive . We made no decision. Wednesday was the painting group. Thursday I worked on the totem painting.
