Nov 7 Friday
Last night we get some excitement-alarms go off at 9.30 telling us to evacuate the building. We phone down to the guard shack and they say it is a false alarm. The alarm goes of and on until 10:45pm.
Sherri phoned to say that Carter is now 6lbs 6oz and Madison is 6lbs 3oz
Today is a tour to the Everglades ($45. ea)for 3hrs. They do not pick us up until 1:30.
I remember Bill can listen to the Bill Good listen live radio show on my computer. He is happy sitting on the balcony listening to his favorite show and watching boats go up and down the intercoastal waterways. Along comes a boat made in Cresent Beach BC, and ties up in front of us. Will find out the particulars tomorrow .We get picked up in front of the condo. Only 6 people in our van. We get an one hour airboat ride. Cool. We find 4 alligators, some ospreys, moor hens, and voltures . Then we are treated to alligator wrestling show.

Wednesdays walk

rent a boat anyone?

Posted by Picasanot only RV have toyhaulers

Nov 5 Wednesday
The kids are up by 6am heading to the airport as Shannon has her wine coarse in Napa Valley and Ethan was taking time off and will return Sunday. A well deserved rest , but I do not know how they will unwind with so much to do before they leave to go around South America Nov, 19.
This is a good place for Bill as all walking is flat. Today we walk the other direction on the sea wall. We go all the way to Pier 66, then cross the bridge and look at the cruise ships . We walk as far as the Art Institution. It is starting to get hot so we take the bus back. $1.25 ea.
all boats just about gone next will be docks and pilings

Nov 4 Tuesday
Today is dismantling day for the boat show. We have front row seats from our balcony ( awesome) . This is really something to watch. The Frontinato 205' is right in front of us and so is Premier – Miss Rose 130' the one we got on . They slowly all pull away One large sailboat get stowed away. The dock are towed away too and put in storage. CV9 was to go back in the water today and we were to watch but but they run into problems, They do not have time to get us. The poor kids didn't get home until 11pm. The guys on the travel lift quite @ 5 and left them with the boat in the water but the belt too tight and they had to get a diver to free her. We get to skype with Madison tonight Carter is sleeping may be tomorrow

Nov 3 Monday
Today is beach day, we walk along the seawall only one very short block away from the condo. We watch them rake the sand with 2 big machines. The wind is mild and the seas calm so a green flag is up meaning it is safe to swim in the ocean. The sea wall goes for miles. Tonight we all go to an Italian restaurant-Cafe Vico very very good food.

Oct 31 Halloween
The kids go to work on the boat and they hand us passes for the boat show.
We walk down show our pass and no problem. We continue on and decide to go to the convention center first so buy an $9.00 each all day pass. No problem getting in , show our pass and are ask for picture ID OH OH but he didn't even look as the names on the pass do not match. They have 3 floors of displays here. A huge building with a beautiful fountain out front. A huge cruise ship is tied up here also. We take the water taxi to Pier 66 where more boats are displayed We pass channels ( streets only on water ) with huge homes all with their own private docks . Quite a sight to see. No problem with our passes here . We head back to the main show area and after we get off the water taxi they check our passes again YEP this time he really inspects them we have to forfeit the passes and buy our own tickets. $18.00 each.
We come back to the condo have lunch and a rest. Bill goes back out. The kids do not get back until after 7 so we have prawns at home the kids go out.
