3 days in Gibsons

August 24 Sunday 2014

A great 3 days at Gibsons. Cousin Ken picked us up and we went grocery shopping then back to their place to hear about their trip to Russia. We went to a new Japanese restaurant for dinner. Food was very good and prices right, We had difficulty ordering as neither one of us know Japanese food. Friday I walk lower Gibsons with all their interesting shops stopped at Swish and bought a necklace. We had Ken and Linda ,Clark and Shelia for a stirfry dinner at the boat. Saturday I worked on the computer and read. Saturday evening 6 of us go to Grandma's pub for dinner good food as always. Sunday we will go back to Center Bay until after the long weekend. Weather still holding out.

August 18 Monday 2014 internet again

another lovely weekend. Sherri Gerry ,Carter and Madison arrived Friday as planned. Carter went out in the kayak by himself very confident. Madison had her first tub ride and was thrilled. Water was warm so Madison did a lot of swimming. Chris was celebrating his 50^th and had cod and halibut for everyone on the dock. The next day they had steaks for everyone. Great as I didn't have to cook. We stayed at Ekins Sunday and went to Center Bay Monday.

August 14 Thursday 2014

Yes we did get into Snug Cove at 2:30 BYC spot is empty. Rained yesterday morning but nice now. We check Thunderbirds spot and there are 2 empty spaces so Phone Clark and Shelia. They come and I have them for a stir fry. Today we take a bus down Island and stop at Bowen Bay and walk the beach then back on the bus to he Artisan where we go for lunch. We walk back to Snug Cove all down hill. Tomorrow we will go to Ekins the north end of Gamier Island. We will not have internet or phone.

another change of plans

August 10 Sunday 2014

plans change again. Thursday Bill goes to see a dentist across the way and discovers he needs a root canal to get an infection under a cap. Friday we move to the boat as his appointment isn't tell Monday. He is given pain killers. We pick up our batteries on the way. He gets help putting old batteries out and new in. Disaster strikes as the buggy they put the batteries made a hole in one battery. We hope to replace it Monday on our way home for Bills appointment. Bill takes me to Horseshoe Bay for dinner. We have delicious seafood at Bay mooring. What a great view. We will stay on the boat Sunday. We will see how Bill makes out at the dentist and maybe leave for Snug Cove if we can get in or to Ekins as the kids plan on coming to Ekins for the weekend. Then hopefully Gibsons and Center bay for the long weekend.

August 6 Wednesday 2014

Bill came home early from boat as he went to get new batteries and they have to order them so he decided he would come to the kids sailing lessons. What a great day. It was something to watch them sail by themselves. Madison decides to go with the instructor. Carter is getting the hang of it and wants to be in charge.

Ekins, Center Bay and home

August 4 Monday 2014

After Snug we go to Ekins then Center Bay. Monday we were going to go to Gibsons to celebrate my birthday but our freezer was acting up and a light came on saying our batteries were low, so we came home. Bill took me to the Keg for dinner. Sherri is picking me up tomorrow so I can watch Carter and Madison with their sailing lessons.
